Description
Used in the construction supply, industrial coating, waterproofing, fireproofing, roofing, resin and paint industries. 3.5″ x 2″ x .032″ aluminum Metalphoto gel coat thickness combo gauge measures liquid paint, coating or membrane thickness applied wet to various surfaces by pressing the notched gauge into the wet coating ensuring it meets specifications before drying. Measuring wet film thickness is crucial to prevent defects caused by too much wet film (long drying times, sagging) or too little wet film (poor coverage, failure to protect). This practical tool doubles as a memorable business card – one people will actually keep and use, not toss aside or misplace.
Offered imprinted 1 sided with no scales nor custom imprint on back or 2 sided with scales and custom imprint on both sides, measuring 12-30 Mils with laminate thickness in inches and/or 305-762 Microns with laminate thickness in MM scales. Standard pricing includes 1 standard color imprint. Directions for use can be incorporated. Metalphoto® uses an anodized photosensitive aluminum and light to embed a black imprint within the material. Standard imprint colors include black, red, blue, green, orange or purple. Exact color matches are not guaranteed. We are sourced and manufactured within the US and there are no port delays, customs delays or additional tariffs domestically.
Metalphoto (MP) is a light-sensitive process similar to developing a photograph that uses an anodized photosensitive aluminum exposed to light to embed a black imprint within the material. This process is extremely durable may be soaked in solvent solutions to clean the product. It has been tested for solvents, abrasives, cleaning resistants etc. with full specs found here.
PolyColor is a process that uses Metalphoto® aluminum, opens the pores of anodization and embeds a 1 color imprint. Standard imprint colors include black, red, blue, green, orange or purple. This process also is extremely durable and may be soaked in solvent solutions to clean the product. Exact color matches are not guaranteed. PolyColor® inks may vary slightly from run to run. PMS color matches not available for this imprint process.
